Tons of fun putting this together in Unreal Engine 5 was happy enough with the final result that I decided to add some simple vertex animation (no bones!, I do not want to rig stuff anymore!) Got lots of pointers from my colleagues and friends that helped push it over the finish line.
Mempo spent all of her time cloud gazing and wishing she could be like the skilled Mantis or Moth Samurai from her village. Eventually she came across a spirit mask that was haunted by an old sword sage. In exchange for ferrying him around on her back, the sword sage agreed to bestow two Spiritsteel katana to Mempo and teach her the grassblade-style swords dance techniques he had mastered in life.
