The Priority - The Economy You Need to Know Now

Just before the recording, the US and China announced the details of the agreement on tariffs. The market was pleased with the “115% reduction on both sides,” and the dollar/yen rate plummeted, dropping to the 148 yen range at one point. And the futures for both the Nikkei and Dow Jones Industrial Averages rose by nearly 2%.

Trump's “match-pump strategy” seems to have stirred things up and calmed them down with his own power. How long will it last? And what will the Fed's decision be, given the pressure to lower interest rates? We dug deeper with Suehiro-san.
